my new nephew

The Lord brought little Gabriel into the world on October 11 @ 1:08am. He was a whopping 2 lbs 13 ozs. & 15 3/4" long, the little man is so adorable. He was 10 wks & 2 days early so he was put into NICU @ Home Hospital. He had a good week and half, he was feeding on breast milk (through a feeding tube) & Susan was holding him on a regular basis. Susan even got to give him baths or wipe downs! On Wednesday, October 22, they found a perforation in his bowel. He was transferred down to St. Vincent's in Indy & had surgery that night. The Lord was good as he always is, and Gabe came through the surgery.

This was a very tough experience for me (the aunt). I wanted to be there, but what could I do! So I prayed, like I have ever prayed before. Satan was trying his best to put the negative thoughts into my head, I just kept repeating "I speak LIFE into Gabe, I speak LIFE into Susan & I speak LIFE into the situation." The Lord is amazing, he never fails to amaze me.

Gabe is doing good. He was taken off the vent Tuesday night & Susan got to hold him yesterday for the first time in 7 days. Can you imagine being able to hold your little one & then it all gets taken away? I know she was so relived yesterday when she pick up that little bundle of joy & held him in her arms! I told her to kiss him for me & she informed me that she had def taken care of that!!!

He will be in NICU @ St. Vincent's until he is cleared to come home. Please pray for the healing of Gabe's body & that he is protected from any infections or sicknesses. Please pray for Susan, that her eyes will be opened to the awesome wonders of God & that she will turn to the Lord in her time of need.

I will continue to update everyone on Gabe's progress!!!
